I’m in desperate need of some help!
I was just given a 2000 S-Type 4.0 by my uncle and unfortunately it has no spark at all, here is everything I have checked so far. Battery is good and has a voltage of 12.8v, anti-theft is working as it should, I have check for water ingress and didn’t find any issues, and I’ve check the wiring going to and from the PCM to the coil packs and all is good but still nothing. I tested the voltage at the coil packs and I have 12v on one pin of the connector but when I have someone crank it whilst I check the other pin which is ground, nothing. From what I’ve gathered the PCM is supposed to pull that pin to ground and it’s not doing it. Do I need to look into a new PCM? I feel like I’m going crazy lol! Any help or recommendations would be amazing!

More info on car? When last started/driven? Any codes? Any pending ones?

 

I do apologize I’m new to this forum thing but,

I have no idea how many miles it has on it due to the screen on the cluster does not working and as far as I know it has been tagged or been on the road since 2013.

no codes or pending codes in the PCM, but then again I was having trouble at one point getting my OBD scanner to connect to the PCM. I’m thinking at this point it’s my cheap 15$ scanner from Amazon.
