Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, I couldn't find a specific reference to my problem.

2009 XF. When I lock with the remote, I get the flashing lights and beep that confirms alarm is armed. All doors are locked. I can see all the door lock switches locking. But the drivers door can still be opened. This sets off the alarm. I've been through the manual and tried to set up security through the on dash panel.

Am I missing something, or is this an issue for my mechanic?

 

Ths sounds like the problem I had with my X350.I traced the fault to a

microswitch in the door actuator.

A replacement microswitch is not available and the first time I replaced the

actuator with an used one and when another door failed I obtained a switch

from a used Ford mondeo actuator and soldered it in.
