Default AIR TEMP on HIGHER BOOS

Ok, so if one gets bigger and smaller puleys and spins the Jag chargers faster , one gets more heat....... OK

1. What is good air temperature of air feeding engine....

2. What is TOO HOT,, ?

jaguar seems to have the intercooler linked to normal radiator, which means it dosent cool that well,

am in procces of fixing additional after coolers, fans , and extar cuirculation pump, but would appreciate what temp. one should aim for .....

thanx

For the benefit of members without ouija boards or crystal *****, the Jaguar in question could be a 2011 XFR.

Those sorts of changes ought to help a little, although if it's using a maxed-out supercharger then not much.

Changing the SC is the way to go in that case.

Not sure what would be considered too high an inlet air temperature, (IAT) the higher the temperature especially at higher boost pressure the greater the danger of detonation occurring and the ECU taking action to prevent or react to this, usually by retarding ignition timing and boost which will protect engine but reduce power output whilst the conditions remain.

Optimum inlet air temperature (IAT) is easier to specify, the closer to ambient air temperature the better, or if you're really serious and have inclination and money then refrigeration / air conditioning to get temperature below ambient especially in hot summer conditions will significantly help with increased power (or avoid power reductions due to high IAT)
