Welcome to the forum madmack,

Your problem is not new - Jaguar have an uneasy relationship with Bluetooth and always appear to lag behind developments. Go to the Jaguar Connectivity Centre to check phone compatabilty and pairing instructions for your model:

Vehicles - Jaguar

Looks like to Jaguar X250 and the A5 should be compatible.

Thx GGG for the welcome and info, I also used the connectivity site, without vin number as you did it does show my phone, but with the vin number it isn't there, so I'm guessing from what I've read I will need an ungraded module.

If your vehicle is not factory BT equipped, it's an expensive retro fit.

There are superior aftermarket alternatives - not as neat but more efficient and lower cost.

Just an update to the pairing issue I had with my 2008 xf and Samsung A5, like most men the reading of a manual is not on until ever angle has been exhausted. Had I read the manual I would have seen that you actually pair the phone to the car first and enter 1313 as the Bluetooth pass code, not 0000 or 1234 as the phone suggests. I now have a fully functioning in car phone.
