Default Bluetooth Connectivity issue in MY

I am doing a short presentation for my Jaguar club on the BT issues and some ways to solve them, different options in getting things to work together. I know there are stickies on several of the boards sections. From what I can tell, this is an issue on MY 07-14, all models?

My 2005 XK8 4.2-S Final Series (equivalent to US Victory Edition) had BT as standard. It replaced the fixed Motorola phone installation option on other Jaguar models at the same time so you should extend your date range.

Can't be done as short other than get people to look at the relevant forum and its messages.

Also, depends what you mean by "an issue ..." (by way of example, Apple in its iPhones has broken BT then fixed it then broken it then ... well you get the idea).

Ok, let me clarify "issue". My 07 XK has BT that will connect my Samsung phone to my car for use in phone calls only. I cannot play music or gps apps through speakers. The USB plug does not work with phones either. Our BT is set up for calls only. I do have a 30 pin connector for the older model iPods. I have several solutions for connectivity so that is not what I am asking for, but am wondering what year the BT connectivity in Jaguars began and at what year the BT connectivity allows for any voice/music app on your phone to play through the speakers, if it does at all. I haven't been in a new Jaguar to determine.
So what year did this begin and end, and is it across all models? I would assume it would be across all models.
