drivers door locking fault

drivers door locking fault
On Jaguar XF, 64 plate. Drivers door doesn't lock with the keyfob. All other doors and boot do. When I open the door the indicators flash as though an alarm has been triggered but no audible tone present. No prompts on the dash, eg low battery in keyfob ?
