G'day Jack,

Could you tap a thread in the hole and use a different sized bolt? Or maybe use a Helicoil.

Cheers,
Jeff.

Hi Jeff

The treads are fine, stripped was probably the wrong word. The hex slot was rounded.

I found this one, would it do the job?

Since your in the UK and we are mostly in the US my normal parts supplies will do you no good?
Have you contacted these guys?
M112 Service

They seem to have a wide selection of stuff and they also rebuild these units so I would think they should have one or more laying about. I still can't figure out how this would be damaged as the blower is Aluminum and the bolt is steel?
