Default I'm possibly looking for another jag, need help.

Hello guys,

I used to be a proud owner of an 02 X-type 2.5 automatic sport model. In a nutshell, i have owned it for the past 2 years and added 30 thousand miles. I have had many problems including air mass sensor, oxygen sensor, bad fuel pump, and now the transfer case. The transmission was replaced by the dealer at 45,000 miles.
Bottom line: I have lost confidence in my car and now I am in the process of buying a new car? I would consider another jag if they are more reliable. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section but not sure where to post. can anyone give me ideas which model jags are more reliable statistically? I saw they were even ranked high up on the reliability list? are they the XJ8 models? if so what years? thanks in advance because this website has been very helpful since I joined 1.5 years ago!

From the short time I have been hear I've learned the X-type from the years 2004 up seem to have all the bugs worked out. I have an 2003, so far knock on wood - no surprises...

LOL,just done it Dennis
Well, I think 1995-97 Jaguar X300s are more reliable over '98-00 ones due to no nikasil issue . Still, not that I like them X350s seem reliable too

I find the most reliable to be the XJ6 95-97 or the any of the 4.2 v8 cars, XJ, XK or S-type. That would put you about 04 and up.
