Default Lower oil pan gasket leak

Can anyone advise me as to how hard it is to change a lower oil pan gasket, I have a leak onmy 1998 XJ8 and my mechanic advises replacing it. Any specialist tools required?
Thanks,
Michigan.

All you need is a 13mm to take out drain plug and an 8mm for the 20 oil pan bolts. Piece of cake. Make sure you orient the pan gasket correctly on install.
