Default is it ok to disconnect and re connect battery 2019 epace petrol

Not having much luck here- having trouble with my passenger window module ( see previous post with no answers!)
After some research, it seems I need to possibly do a reset by disconnecting battery.
(ive tried all the window reset options mentioned in different threads here, but window will not stay up)
What should I expect to have to reset/do after the battery disconnect?, and am I opening myself up to other problems by disconnecting the battery?
Thanks
