Part number for RH outer vent stepper motor on 2014 XF
Hi everyone!
First off, love this forum it’s become my go to for personal maintenance. You guys all deserve a major thanks.
My current question is:
What is the actual part number for the right hand outer register stepper motor that opens and closes the vent in the jaguar XF (2014 250)?
I’ve removed the dash and done analysis on all vent motors and confirmed that basically (from left to right), the vent motors for 1 & 3 are the same (mounted on right side of vent) and the motors for 2 & 4 are the same (mounted on the left side of the vent). So, I need the part number for the right hand outer which would be part numbers 4 (and 2) in my description above. I’ve found that the numbers should be either:
- C2Z6536, or
- C2Z6535
I also noticed that my motor has the number EFB452 on it and I’ve seen others online with EFB451 and I’m not sure if that is related to the different direction of the motors. Obviously if I get the wrong one, it will open instead of close and close instead of open.
Attached is a pic of the motor I need to replace in my car. Left hand drive. This is the right hand passenger outer stepper motor closest to the door.
Thank you in advance!
David

Thanks Graham. I’ve seen that diagram and I can’t figure out which servo motor is for the far right outer air vent. Could you kindly tell me which part number is for the right hand outer vent motor? (Motor-rh outer register).
I apologize for posting this in the wrong forum. I will post to x250 going forward.
Thank you in advance,
David

Note the arrowed text regarding LHD and RHD. I checked the Parts Catalogue and there are different Evaporator/Blower units listed for LHD and RHD so they must be mirror images. However, Servo Motors are only described as LH and RH.
Looking at the Servo Motor diagrams, regardless of LHD or RHD, the LH (C2Z3536) will always go on the left side and the RH (C2Z6535) will always go on the right side with locations referenced from sitting in the vehicle looking forwards. I've rotated one of the images here to show a RHD vehicle on the left and a LHD vehicle on the right:
I've got that straight in my own mind. I hope it comes across logically the way I've tried to explain it here.
