Stupid newbie question on history
See ... all this time I had it wrong .... I thought it was pronounced "Aaah ... WOW!!!"
Well, that's what visitors say whenever they rest back into the passenger's seat ...
Cheers ...

Aaah Mikey, y'see for a long time Christine and I pursued a simple formula ... "He who dies with the most Jaguars, WINS!!!" We loved 'em all, and at one stage, we were well on the path of quite a menagerie. Alas, successive house moves found us building too much of our lives around the need to house cars!
Becoming sensible some many years ago led to "downsizing" - a real "catastrophe". Using it as my username, constantly prods me to remember what a stupid notion this "sensible" option was. Fortunately, I believe that we are surrounded by late model future classics - the facelift S-Type and STR in particular, are IMHO obvious examples.
My avatar of a very much modified 2.4L Mk1 in "caravan tug" guise, is to remind me how and when the Jag love affair started some 45 years ago.
The very first car I owned as a 16/17 year old schoolboy (no licence) was also a disaster. My dear Dad found out, grounded me, impounded the car, then wept tears of blood when I sold it!
You can't win ... for me, every car is a delicate balance of love ... and catastrophe.
