Default Windscreen washer issue

Hi all , noticed my windscreen washer will only work once when the car or battery is first turned on , after that no matter how many times I push the button the motor is not engaging or making any noise , though the wipers will still kick in... I have already replaced the pump and fired air threw the nozzles, any ideas ? , thankyou

If you unplug the pump and "Hotwire" it, will it work then? If so I suggest there's a bad relay somewhere?

Welcome to the forums jj12591,

I'll take a wild guess it's a Jaguar as the only information in your profile is your Country of Residence is GB:

Run a wire directly from the battery to the pump and if it isn't grounded by its mounting, a wire to ground. If the pump is good, it should work that way

I'll attempt it when I have time , but it's a new pump I've just put on , so can't see the actual pump being an issue
