Default Windshield heated?

How can I tell if the windshield they put in is heated or not it looks like an aftermarket one was just installed in my car but they're telling me it's heated I don't think it is how can I tell without the dealer screwing me over

Mine is heated on my XE, and in certain light, (mainly full sun from the front), you can see the vertical wires in the screen. These are very fine wires and don't normally intrude, but can be seen in certain light, as I said. Other thing that tells you it is there is when it is freezing and you have ice on the windscreen. On starting the car, on my XE it automatically switches on the front and rear screen heaters. However, you haven't told us what car you've got. There should also be a switch on the dash for the front screen as well as the switch for the rear screen. The rear screen switch will also switch the mirror heaters on too.

As Fraser says, very difficult to see although some members do find then visibly intrusive and hate heated screens. Here's a view from my XK8 with the vertical heating elements arrowed.

Both my current XK and F-Pace have heated screens and the wire is so thin I can barely see it.

Peer closely, swing your head around and you'll see the thin wires if they're there.
