Default Xf drivers door

Any help would be appreciated, my drivers door handle will not open my door from outside. I can open it from inside and it locks and unlocks but the handle is just “floppy” when a pull it. When it’s locked and I go to open the door it does unlock it as normal.

Wolves1034, sounds like the clip that holds the outside lever to the lock mechanism has failed and you will end up replace a plastic clip inside the door. You will have to open up the door on the inside and where the door locks on to the body of the car, you will need to look near there for the rod going to the door handle. You check both ends of that rod and you will find one end with a broken clip.

Welcome to the forums Wolves1034,

You don't mention Model Year either in your post or forum profile so I can't tell if you have the original X250 (XF/XFR 2007 - 2015) or the current X260 (XF/XFR 2015 onwards). Whichever it is, the door card will have to come off to investigate but it's all too easy to break expensive fixing clips if done the wrong way.
