Default JTIS manual download - RESOLVED

Can anyone confirm this works with Windows 10 64 bit, keeps showing an error code and shutting down.

Here is JTIS running on my Vaio laptop Windows 10 64-bit overlayed with System and jaguarforums showing your question:

I've moved your question from Off Topic to General Tech Help as it is definitely Jaguar related.

The usual problem on 64-bit is failing to install DAO350.dll.

The guidance PDF for Installing DAO350.dll in win7 64 bit v1.1 is in Jim Lombardi's JTIS thread.

I followed the instructions in jims thread and to no avail it still didn't work. I then created a second partition with windows 8.1 32 bit and still didn't work. I must have had some kind of virus or program it didn't like.

I have now totally wiped my hard drive with a fresh windows 8.1 install and am downloading it again. Still not working after a fresh install of windows 8.1.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong or what to try next.

How far into the install do you get before seeing an error code?

It installs perfectly and comes up but as soon as I do anything it say "JJTIS MFC has stopped working" and closes

I'm going to put it on a USB and try it on another computer.

Got it working, my stupid butt didn't pay attention during install. I had to go into the dao file on disk 1 and do the setup there.

I got to jims how to install page, and links are broke, and there's more text than the bible I think. I had this working years ago on a windows 10 machine. I've downloaded from dao, and it says, "will not work on this pc." I've gone into properties, and reset compatibility modes for w 7 and 8, still no functions

It says installed, and opens, but when you click on the menu it crashes. What did you do?

I copy Jim's complete fileset to a new folder C:\JTIS_Install and run the installation from there.

Done this on several Windows10 32-bit and 64-bit machines and not had any failures.

Yep, been there and done that, this is as far as I can get with it. As soon as I try to click on an icon in the navigation bars up top it crashes.

That's an exotic name for your C:\> drive!

If you've done a standard install with all the installation files available in a C:\> folder, the EXE shortcut properties should be be as shown:

Any long folder name in the path will kill it.

Ok and thanks for your help, I just changed the name of my exotic C drive to simply (C) and it still crashes upon using an icon in the upper portion. I couldn't type in the colon after the C in this messsage as it comes up as a smiley face for some reason but it is on my C drive now
The EXE shortcut properties are as you have shown above.
Now about at the point where I buy I used laptop with window 7 on it.

sooooo... no luck there then?
