Is there simple JTIS download and installation guide?
I've had a look at the two stickies and myt god what an enormous amount of gobbledegook in those threads.
Now while I appreciate that it took a lot of people trying this and that to figure this out ... trying to navigate all of that now figure out what is and is not relevant is overwhelming.
32 (not 64) bit Win 7 is what I need minus all the drama.
Is there such a spot on here?

Me too.
I have it on the hard drive, but it will not load onto a W8.1 platform.
My "IT" savvy (more than me by a country mile) son, also claims its to do with W8.1.
I also will wait for the smart ones to enlighten us all.

The problem is that Windows keeps changing in ways that make the JTIS install very awkward. Each time, Windows is different so different work arounds are needed.
MS just love making life hard
Somewhere there's a PDF version and that works OK (except for being rather large!!)

I did have it working in 8.1 but it was a struggle. Search my posts, involved some DOS commands if I recall, I used the powershell command line interface. I too have to re-stall it now for a completely different reason and I've set aside a few hours. Maybe we could have some people be the JTIS go to people and give them free beer for every document they pdf and send!!

I had it working a while back, within the last year I think, but then I cleaned up my office and a whole lot of CDs have gone AWOL.
I downloaded it again but the installation just runs for a while doing nothing then quits. Looks like I'll have at it again today because I need to see what it says if any thing about getting those two engine oil cooling hoses off.
Ain't computers wonderful ...

Yes and that's what I down loaded to my Win 7 32 bit machine. Didn't work.
But I did also put it on a DVD and took it over to my wife's XP machine and it runs there.
Gawd awful piece of software but it's what we have ...
So that's working for me at least. Doesn't cover the oil cooler lines on my 2005.
I can't seem to find anything about the transmission on there? I must be missing it. Navigation is just so wonderful on that interface LOL
I think the idea of putting it on a thumb drive/memory stick is the way to go as DVD access is very slow.
