I have an 2003 XJ8 and the right headlight went out. At that time, it seems to be the first that I noticed that the interior hazard light button was illuminated. After I replaced the bulb and fuse and the light was back online, I noticed that the hazard button was still illuminated WHEN the headlights are on in any position. When the lights are off, the red illumination of the hazard button goes off. Does anyone know if that button is illuminated in red whenever the lights are on or is this a signal of a malfunction?? The driver's manual says nothing about this button illuminating as a warning light. So maybe, it was always illuminated all along and it is lit in order to find it easily in case the driver needs to put on the hazard lights... does anyone know? Could someone who has an XJ8 check is this light is illumined? Thanks
