Default AJ 126 flexplate bolt access

Hey guys
I'm pulling a destroyed AJ126 from a 2015 Range Rover.
Some home hack decided to do timing chains, then pulled the heads because why not?
I was planning on fixing timing, but then dug deeper and everything this guy touched, he turned to crap.
So...... I'm pulling the engine to install a used one
One question, how the hell do you access the torque converter bolts??
Seems like the front diff is in the way from underneath.
Pull the manifold on that side?
Hopefully not, but it took a camera to find the plug you pull to access the bolts. What was wrong with pulling the starter out? LOL
I may tear into it and see about rebuilding, but everything that makes that affordable comes from Taiwan or China. So I was thinking better to start with a low mileage motor that hasn't been touched.

Cheers
Martin

Hi,
info from not an AWD version of the AJ126. The access hole is on the left side (drivers side) of the block. It is reached from under the car. You reach it from the front to the rear. There are 4 bolts.

Everything can be made. I really enjoyed working on the aj126. The asian parts, are good. No worries. Just double check them. I saw weight differances on the rods, which I resolved myself.

Adam
