Default Cam Timing Tool for AJ27S...

Is a cam timing tool necessary when changing head gasket for a 2002 Supercharged V8?

The car is a RHD Daimler Super V8. First and last cylinder on passenger side (left of car) no compression. Plastic water hose clip broke and car overheated...

Thanks for any help.

Sprint.

I don't have a answer to your question but if it overheated badly and has a plastic impeller waterpump- the chances are that the pump is melted and will need changing too. I've seen this many times. The AJV8 has minimal volume "precision cooling"-which is designed for rapid warm up. This it does well, compared to other engines of similar power- howere the down side is there is less reserve in the cooling system

Dear all,

I found out what was causing the problem. Dropped valve seats. How do I remedy this? New cylinder head or may I install new seats in the old heads?

Anyone has heads for sale? Left bank. Passenger side in a RHD car.

Thanks!

Sprint.
