On Saturday, I drove home my new XF and was quite unhappy with the car, not what I expected. I did test drive once and thought it had a much smoother ride then what I experienced driving it the 1 hr+ ride home from the dealer. Aside from the ride I had the radio on low and I kept hearing this swirling noise and thought the sunroof or one of the windows was opened. Checked everything and all where closed. It sounded like air was coming through the windshield. Called the dealer Monday and was quite unhappy. Decided to call another dealer closer to my home and spoke to their service rep to set up an appt and told her I was quite unhappy with the car and she told me that Jaguar (not just her dealership (NJ) would take the car back???? Advised me to call the 800# which I did and they kind of laughed. I called her back and she told me that it was true, but she was told by her service manager not to get involved. Called the original dealership and spoke to the GM and he basically laughed at me too. It's not like I am looking for a complete refund I would be willing to pay whatever to have them take the car back. I was told it was buyers remorse and tough luck, you own it. It's not, my husband owns anXKR and we both love the car and I was interested in the XJ originallyandwouldprefer that model. By my third call to the other dealership she stillinsisted it can be done but could not offer any other help because her boss was tellling her to stay out. We have called the exec office in NJ but no one is calling us back. Has anyone heard of this. At this point I have resigned myself to the fact that I own this car, but I would still like to know if this is true. Anyone's advice/help would be appreciated.
