Driving along the M3 had transmission fault come on so i stopped and called the AA who when they arrived hooked up the diagnostic reader checked both the engine and Gearbox and only found data faults which they promptly re set and said it was fine to continue my journey to the Midlands while I was on the M1 the Fault came on again there is no loss of performance from engine or Transmission any ideas as to what it might be vehicle is 2011 3.0d

Welcome to the forums Matthelm,

As it states at the top ....THIS SECTION IS NOT FOR TECHNICAL QUESTIONS. Please answer the questions below and I'll move it to the relevant model forum.

When the AA cleared the codes, the transmission fault warning would have cleared BUT it came back again after a couple of cycles because they didn't fix the cause of the fault.

1. please advise model
2. did they tell you the codes?

Graham
