cause of run on blocks of text: vbulletin wysiwyg
Longer posts without paragraph breaks are extemely hard to read and comprehend.
HOWEVER ...
A possible cause for posts that have no paragraph formating is the vbulletin editor.
If enhanced wysiwyg is selected in the user cp and the user browser has javascript enabled, line breaks via carriage returns are stripped from postings.
This results in one big blob of text without any paragraph breaks, even if the user has inserted them.
This was discovered while using a second browser with different security settings.
This post was written after switching to "simple text box" editor mode in the cp.

I agree, none of us like great long blobs of continuous text. My eyes can't cope and I usually have to give up on them.
However this reply was written with full enhanced wysiwyg and javascript is enabled. (FF 3.12)
Line breaks from carriage returns have not been stripped, as is evident.
What was the second browser you tried, I'll try to reproduce the problem.

A easy fix is to set simple mode as the new member default. Most users won't bother changing it.
