Well, we haven't created one yet. Up until last month, all talk about the new XJ was in the 'press release' area. I know for a fact one member has the new car, so I suppose we'll have to start a new section, just for him.

Hey, does the 2011 have a 'model classification' like the 2004 thru 2010 -> X350 ?

Good point, 4 that I know of, MDJag, Viper06, HouTexJag, and yourself Saber22.

Other Jaguar Models, not ideal because it covers anything from XK120, E-type... which apart from 4 wheels have little in common with the New XJ.

XF/XFR, from a technology aspect probably nearer the mark.

XJ8/XJ6 2004... again not ideal because the cut would be 2009.

Thinking caps on folks.

All the best,
Richard

Jaguar XJ8 / XJ6 Forum should be used for now . I reckon a new section might be created for new model XJs .

Default New XJ Owner

Picked our new 2011 XJ up about three weeks ago (vapour grey). Having never owned a Jaguar before (had a 7 series BMW prior), I was a bit skeptical....especially after researching and seeing that they did not have the best reliability rating...until about the last two years. Of course, BMW is not any better. In two years, I spent over $13K on repairs (after warranty ran out), so that was my cue to get something different. So far, I have to say my Wife and I have been very happy with our new "cat". If people are interested (I am not that familiar with "forums"), I would be happy to post some pics (when I get authorization...I am still a new member) and provide comments on the XJ.

Hi,
Yes, I would be very interested in seeing some pic's of your new 2011 XJ. Either on this Forum or the XJ8/XJ6 Forum. I am a newbie and recently posted on the XJ8/XJ6 Forum asking 2011 XJ owners for their input on their new XJ. Would like to hear from you. What model and options did you get?

We're going to look at one tomorrow, (Wed.)

It is interesting that the dealers are saying that the new xj and xf s are hot sellers. However, I have been told that the XJL supercharged are not as available to them to sell. I have only seen 2 2011 Jags since I purchased mine on a visit to Tampa .

Concerning the XJL Supercharged, I know there are a couple of new ones on the show room floor at Annapolis, MD. The Supersport, I was told, is "special order" only. I spoke with my sales rep at Annapolis, and they dont seem to have a problem getting the supercharged version. We just went to a Jaguar open house event today, where they had a professional driver taking people on "high performance" runs around a parking lot at the Naval Academy stadium (smoking tires, swerving around cones...that sort of thing). They had several XJ and XF cars in the supercharged versions.

The other model name for the 2011 Xj would be the X351 (according to Wikepedia and I haven't heard anything otherwise).
