Default hanging inter page links

Hi all, I've recently been noticing that when navigating between forum pages, or posting etc. that I am having a problem with the page "hanging" and in the bottom left corner of the screen I have "waiting for A1.interclick.com".

When this appears, approx 2 out of 4 page change times the only option left open to me is to hit the back button and then reclick on the page link that I originally wanted. This then appears to generate the problem of a double posting, which has nothing to do with me (see Off-topic, around the world).

Bizzarly my post also then appears as an advert in the right hand ad box see attached screen shot. Albeit not quite as I finished typing. See differences between 'Great looking motor" and She looks fine"

I was just wondering if anyone else is having a similar issue?

">

All the best,

translator, that is really weird!!...gonna try it

nope, no hang, nor does the advertisement show the text I just typed in the preview window.

If you have any type of continuous monitoring adware/virus software running, try turning it off first, and test the forum navigation to see if that may be holding up the advertisment and thus your movements.

Just and idea.

BTW, I also use Firefox as my browser.

It just pops in my mind that when I use MAxtron I see no ads as we normally see at the right side of the forum page ,it automatically blocks them all as default

Hi Guys, thanks for your input. I've temporarily hijacked one of the PCs that we use for testing purposes. Multiple OS and assorted browsers, to see if the problem replicates over the next couple of weeks.

Currently on XP SP 3 with Opera 10 (turbo on), cold and hot start page load times visibly faster than FF and IE8. Real time anti-virus/mal/adware software running, because this is how most people will work. I've not put a timer on this because I'm not going to do a detailed browser comparison. A guy in the UK did some pretty good tests.

http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/browserSpeed.html

I will leave all browser settings pretty much in default mode.

The one drawback that I can immediately see on screen is that Charleze is not as pretty as she usually is due to compression, but I can live with that;-(

Maxthon next up.

Lets see what happens.

Cheers,

Default Double or even Triple posting

Hi all, just wondering if anyone is seeing any odd forum behaviour at the moment.

Such as, when you hit the Submit Reply button your post is then displayed 2 or 3 times?

I have noticed this with a few folk recently.

I've had to delete a few redundant posts also, nothing from me though, apparently one is enough from me.

I had connection problems with the site other than that . I just had a problem while posting this message .I had to press the button a few times straight . Bear in mind, I mostly use quick reply button , I will try new reply feature to see if it makes any difference
