Right click on the IMGblahblah and left click Copy Image/link location.

Use CTRL +V to paste your copied link.

Click OK.

Click Submit.

The pic below was inserted in less time than it took to type the instructions.

HTH.

I tried to post big pictures rather that thumbnails. Was stumped when I tried to find "IMGblahblah". Had to settle for thumbnails. Could you explain what that thingy is?

Thanks

It's the link to the picture that appears in the upload attachment box and below the message window.

Are you in Advanced View like this?

Click on the Attachments button (arrowed in red) and navigate to your pics storage folder.

At the bottom of the quick reply box there are two buttons "Post Quick Reply" & "Go Advanced" hit the "Go Advanced" and you are set.

This is the view I have of your post. I've arrowed the Quick Reply button in red:

Do you have a different view? You may have to scroll to see everything I've shown in the graphic above.

Default Delete the "http://" auto entry when pasting

One, when you click the "Insert Image" button, a new window pops up that says "Please enter the URL of your image". If not, after [IMG] the start of your link will probably look like this http://http://, with http:// being listed twice. That will prevent it from being posted.

Two, pretty much a verification to number one, after you have inserted your image into the post, just make sure http:// isn't listed twice. If it is just delete one of them, and it should post just fine.
Finally figured this out. Thanks Ricop! A very important detail to the pic posting process that I suppose I hadn't done before. Just like our Jaguars, it's a learned skill!

Sooo ... Just to be "that guy" .... wouldn't this be a much more useful Sticky thread in the Newbie forum? Might see more pics of cool cars right off the bat! :P

*shrug* *shuffle* *shrug*

Just sayin .. :P

{edit} not trying to sound snarky or anything... it just seems like a 'how to post pics' thing would be in the new members area rather than "site suggestions" ... that's all :P

The new members area is basically an intro section not a tutorial, I'm thinking the lack of posts here since 2014 probably means most folk have it down now as they are probably posting pics in other places regularly. YMMV

I think you missed what I was getting at... New people have stated in their posts "will post pics when I know how" I get that folks who know their way around PHPBB or other BB's don't have this issue... but for new people... how to post pics is kind of important. That was all I was getting at... and in a car forum its all about the pics :P

Was just saying this info would be good info for new members

Not trying to stir anything up or cause trouble...

Cheers!

I understand your point, but this is still the correct area for a tutorial.
I doubt many new members read the stikies in the new membes area if they did they would find some basic info on picture posting along with a wealth of other info.
My feeling, and I've been wrong before, is that many of those who don't post pics in their intro don't want to take the time at that point as they have more important things on their mind.
