Default How to undo Thanks

When scrolling through a thread on my IPad, I sometimes inadvertently touch the "Thanks" button, and this registers a "Thanks" that I had not intended. It has happened 3 or 4 times. Any way to undo "Thanks"?

Thanks.

Too bad - it's not like I had a change of heart, just a very sensitive iPad screen and a droopy finger.

For the record, I found 2 such cases of unintentional thanks. Not that the posts were without value, just unintentional thanks. My Xmas gift!

I need to check whether its enabled for registered / full access members....it may not be!

Once "Thanks" has been given.....If you return to that thread there should be an option to remove!

Do you see that?

Just checked and now remember.....

The settings for removing "Thanks" have been disabled for too many reasons to go into here and are only Admin allowed.

So the simple scenario is, think carefully before you give "thanks" as you will not be able to undo it.

Oops, did it again.

(just kidding)

Jim and the mods deserve all the thanks they get, tenfold.

I think I've thanked everyone on this thread except the OP for being miserable and Jim for having SuperModerator powers (I tried banning him ages ago and couldn't do that either).
I can't thank myself enough.

Thanks, Jim. Seems to have brought out the generous streak in everyone, especially at this time of giving.

All right then, one thanks to Robin for persistence.
Jim, you know I'm always deadly serious and never, ever poke fun.

Robin is the one that seems to hit the thanks button accidentally. Maybe, even though he said the word 'thanks' in his post, he's done it again?

Can't be too careful you know.

You'll never know, Mikey.

Main reason I started this thread was I noticed that, if I saw a typo or other problem in a posting and edited it a bit later, the posting carried a notation "edited by Robinb....". However, when I edited immediately after posting, there was no such notation.

So, the forum computer does know the difference between an oversight that's fixed immediately and one that's fixed later on in time. So, why not extend that feature to inadvertent "Thanks" caused by phat fingers?
