Question for Administrators
I created this profile to ask a single question and will not post anything after this unless told otherwise by the administrators. I created a profile bcdave a few days ago excited about my new Jag purchase and looking forward to becoming an active member in these forums. I only had 6 posts, 4 were in the new member area concerning my 01 VDP, 1 was a question regarding tensioners in the general tech help forum and my last one was in the off topic forum posting a picture and link of a Jaguar Hearse I thought was interesting. After my post of the Hearse, I received a notification that I was banned forever with no reason specified. I would like to know why? I have done nothing to violate any policy and would still like to be a part of this forum. I would sincerely appriciate it if an administrator would respond. Thank you very much.

No problem , I will check out your user name to see why you were banned . If there is no indication / notes of why you were banned then I will contact admin to tell about your issue prior to lifting your ban .That situation might take time so please be patient

Thanks for taking care of that Caddy. We do so many spammers in multiple groups, some by thread, others by individual posts, I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often. We try to stay focussed, but the 'banning of spammers sometimes clouds the battlefield.
I almost accidently deleted the threads of and banned a member who had over 170 posts, and the system would have let me due to the high post count...only an admin could delete one with so many. That little 'check' saved me from many apologies.
Sorry about the inconvenience, glad caddie could square you away.

H2Oboy, I hear you on deleting spammers. I think I delete 10-20 a day myself. I try to doublecheck myself before putting someone on a permanent ban. I was just hoping I wasn't the one that did the banning. I may start being a bit more descriptive with the comments on why I feel certain people should be banned. I think something more than a simple "SPAM" comment may be needed. That way anyone else looking at the situation may have more information to help them make a yes/no call.

01vdp - re your banned ID bcdave.
Please let me know which ID you prefer as I may be able to combine the post count of both so that you don't suffer the lost post counts. This will also help to preserve your posts under the same name.
As Caddie / H20 and Thermo have all said, we do get a lot of Spam traffic and unfortunately sometimes these things happen, although we do our best to limit these errors as much as possible.
Please pm me re the member name you wish to use.
Thanks
