spam alert thread?
hey guys, although the past months have been pretty much spam free, the occasional spammer slides in. Maybe there should be an "official spam reporter" thread where as the mods can beaware that one has "struck". This way we the members don't have to PM one of you guys, you can just check it out when you log onto the site. Just one of my brain farts!
Good job reguardless!!!!

Thanks for the thought anyways Rick and glad you found the report post button
We weren't deliberately hiding it from you honest
We're all doing our best on the spam and not too much is getting through, so far....hopefully this continues.
Feel free to "report post" and we'll try n do our bit ASAP
Thanks Rick
All the best

Maybe a different graphic could be used for "report post".
Other forums use a button that says "report post" so that the the button function is obvious. Otherwise it is just some other random eye candy on the page to most users.
Remember, the cardinal rule of web usability design is: "don't make me think".

Hi Ron, you should be in the clear. I checked in every way I could, the guy is gone.
However, when you say HiJacked, would you PM me with what happened. Always looking to improve things.
If, all he did was to reproduce the pics of your cars, then pretty much anyone can do this anywhere on the Net, with any picture, from any site. (providing they have access to the pic).
We have tightened new member privileges a lot since this happened, also the Mod team has grown with the forum.
If anyone feels, or sees that they are under some sort of attack, let any of the mod team know, or simply use the 'Report Post' feature, it gets about the same immediate reaction as poking a stick in a nest of hornets.
Snag is, hornets don't have a 'Nuke em' feature'. We do! and after investigation will use it.
We will always work to protect the Forum and it's members.
