Bleeding Brakes FAQ
Hi,
Does anybody have the proper Jag Shop book instructions on a brake fluid flush and bleed for an 04 XJ after a master cyl replacement?
Does the park brake have to be somehow turned off to do the rear calipers ?
Thanks
I have had a local shop do this job but the pedal still feels a little spongier that it was, they are going to re-bleed , just wonder if there is something we are missing.

bleeding
I am planning on doing mine next month just to flush out the old brake fluid. I have a power bleeder I bought for aroun 60 bucks that makes it a one person job. The same master cyl res cover as on my BMWs. I also use ATE Blue brake fluid or gold when flushing so as to make sure all the fluid has been renewed. Look for the power bleeder on Ebay or at Pelican Parts on the web.
