Default Mk8 Resto Wheels

Wondering if anyone has put Jaguar wire/spoke wheels on Mk8 or Mk9. Or spacers. In NZ legally spacers max at 37mm. I see there might need to be minor body work where the body tucks in at the front of rear guards.
are the wire wheels similar size to Mk8 wheels. I realise also wires have knock on hubs. Likely simplest solution to get a better looking “stance” would be custom spacers.

You could also investigate bolt on wire wheels.
These use the existing wheel studs.
In Australia there were 15 inch bolt on wires which had a GM pattern spacing which was the same as the MK1 and MK2 bolt pattern.
I don't know if 16 inch bolt ons are available for the MK7/8/9
It is worth investigating as it is a far cheaper way than going down the knock off hub system.
