Default Removing fan clutch (Torquatrol)

My fan clutch needs to be replaced but I can't figure out how to remove the nuts from the spindles holding it into the pulley housing as the spindle end is too long. See photo. Any ideas?

I think you have to take off the fan and torquatrol together and swap over on the workbench. However I'm only guessing based on the XJ6 I once had where I had to replace this part..

Loosen all of them, back it out a bit, and then you can get them all out. This is on my '94 XJS 4.0, but same idea.

Padre, that solved the problem! Never thought to pull the semi-loosened clutch unit forward to get the final spin of the nuts. Very much appreciate the suggestions from everyone on this forum.

That's awesome, beautiful.

Glad the method helped. It took me a while to figure out, snapped the pic to remind myself.

Lovely car you've got there !! We don't see very many here in the UK now but the editor of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club magazine bought one recently and had to spend quite a sum to bring it up-to-snuff. The size of the car, especially its width put a lot of people off here in the UK. Just have a drive down a few of our country lanes to see why !
