Description:

Up for sale is a gem, one of the few maintained Jaguar XJR's you will find. I recently saw resident_fng's post of his XKR and have been actively looking to upgrade to an XKR since then. Please see below for records:

The car is absolutely clean, meticulously maintained, never had any type of damage or accident, always passed emissions testing. No engine/supercharger mods or anything of that sort done to the car. At 115k miles, service has been regular with all maintenance, several parts replaced and taken care of so that the car has a long life. Began leased, and then bought and owned within the same circle of collector friends in Illinois; I personally have only owned the car for a year and a half after the last owner sold to me when the air suspension began to leak. Extensive upgrades and maintenance with many part receipts and service records including:

Recent Routine Maintenance at Recommended Intervals

  • 2019- Set of 255/40/19 pirelli zero nero all season tires and 4 wheel alignment
  • 2019- Brembo brake pads, rotors, and parking brake pads
  • 2019- Suspension parts (many with lifetime warranty from FCP Euro): Front right upper control arm, front right and left tie rods, rear right and left toe links, rear right and left sway bar links
  • 2018- New Arnott front right and left air struts with lifetime warranty. New air compressor with original receipts and lifetime warranty
  • 2018- Replaced Main serpentine belt, idler, and tensioner. Also replaced supercharger belt
  • 2017- Throttle body and gasket replacement
Other Maintenance
  • Maintenance at factory intervals plus the following:
  • Oil changes with Mobil-1 5W30 synthetic oil every 5k miles
  • Replaced rear differential and fluid as the original differential went bad
  • License plate lamp replacements with newer OEM model
  • 2010, 2015, and 2019- Transmission fluid flush every 40k miles and refilled with the OEM ZF fluid and new filter pan
  • Electric water pump
  • Coolant reservoir/ overflow and hoses
  • Air filter, Brake booster hose and collet, Denso Mass Airflow Sensor, and O2 sensors to resolve a vacuum leak
  • Supercharger oil change
  • Fuel filter replacement

Additional Upgrades
  • Rebadged with updated aluminum badges from the 2019 XJ
  • Shifter knob replaced from leather to matching wood grain
  • OEM Umbrella Holder trunk straps
  • Larger upgraded OEM Cupholders from newer models
  • Black lid Mina gallery spoiler
  • Updated Mina upper stainless steel mesh grill, as well as a matching lower mesh grill
  • Black tinted windows all around, with lighter tint in front
  • Fully upgraded exhaust piping including stainless steel Mina gallery mufflers. Cats have been deleted but can be added if desired
  • Upgraded horn to a deeper PIAA horn
  • Upgraded aluminum sport pedals
  • Upgraded aluminum "Caldoofy" intake elbow with stock airbox for quicker throttle response and supercharger note
  • Fully updated interior and exterior lighting/mapping to LEDs
  • Extra set of the same style 19 inch OEM Jaguar alloy rims + a recent 19" Blizzak winter tires

Car has never given me trouble except for a pesky vacuum leak that took some time to trace, and will continue to be driven till sold. Please feel free to shoot over any questions! I'll also include the OEM parts that were replaced. Local deals only please, must see in person.

Default More info please.

Alfraaz do you have any more photos? Any of the underside? Any corrosion? Interior shots? Trunk? Also, are you only interested in a trade for an XK or were there other options you'd consider. Thank you for any info and I really appreciate your detailed maintenance list. Jack

Sorry for the delay, I have been away for a few weeks. I do not have a lift to take photos underneath, but the underside is normal nothing particular to note as the full exhaust, mufflers and piping has been replaced with free flowing Mina exhaust. Lots of suspension parts and bushings already replaced but there are a few aging bushings that function perfectly fine. No aluminum corrosion or oxidation. I can take pics of the trunk with the jaguar umbrella strap tomorrow, but here are interior pics.

I love the XJR so I'm not too keen on trading unless it's for the right car, but I would be open to certain SUVs as well.

Alraaz, I really appreciate your response but I pickup and XJR a couple weeks ago. Your car is beautiful and I hope it sells for you. Thanks again for the response.

Can drop the price to $13,500 without the extra set of winter tires and the Mina mufflers (will leave on the full upgraded exhaust piping and H pipe, but with the OEM mufflers) if interested.

Afraaz3: I have owned two STRS : 2003 and 2006. I loved both! Now, since yours is an XJR, does it have the thick, wide rear tires? Are the front tires different in size from the rear ones? Also, why did you delete the CATS system? Your vehicle looks great and I am interested! Please reply to my queries. Thanks.

Hello, the XJR has the same tires all the way around (stock size is P255/40R19) which is far more desirable for the ride and the life of the tire. The XKR is the one that has staggered tires that are a different rear size, not this one.

Regarding the cats, just to clarify that is referring to the catalytic convertors, not the air suspension (which is often referred to as the Jaguar CATS system). This car does have air suspension. The catalytic convertors have been removed as they make the car much more responsive to drive although I tend to drive conservatively and it has never been pushed hard. There are no codes and emissions was passed last month as it still does have mini cats. Happy to add back the catalytic converters if preferred as any shop can do it easily.

Feel free to message me if you would like to take a look at the car, I am based near Chicago.

Hi Max, sorry for the delay on seeing this as I've been out of town for a month. I don't have a lift to take pics of the underside but I will try to get you any pics I can sometime this week.

Hi, I'm also interested if this is still available. It's sure been for sale a looong time. What is the current mileage and condition. These pics are now several years old.. What is current asking price?

Yes it's available, haven't had any serious interest yet as Jaguar buyers are a small pool of buyers to choose from. Still in excellent condition, I take very good care of it and more than happy to keep it unless there's a good buyer.

Happy to share more pics if you want to request specific angles. Its at 122k miles now
