Default 1964 mk2 NEW Master clutch cylinder leak

Dear all,
I have installed all new parts on the clutch hydraulic system. Ventilated in many different ways, but in vane. I observed on the slave cyl. when pushing the pedal, it did not came fully out on the first push. On the 2nd. push it did. Is this a sign of internal leak in the Master cyl (it is brand new aftermarked product). Looking forward to suggestions. I have already ordered spare rubber kit for this Master.
brgds

That sounds like it still needs bleeding.

Exactly. Back in my hydraulic clutch days (a 1966 Volvo P1800), we used to use a small pump style oiler filled with brake fluid; we bled the system from the slave cylinder below. Time consuming? Yes, but it got the air out of the system and the car back on the road.

A vacuum bleeder will work, but you have to put heavy wheel bearing grease on the threads of the bleed nipple, so you can tell when all the air is out.
With out the grease, the bleeder keeps pulling air past the threads of the bleed nipple so it always looks like there is air in the system.
I vacuum bled mine _ took a very long time.

A Gunson bleeder would work better, but see this post.
Do a dry a run with no fluid in the bleeder to make sure you have no air leaks otherwise you will get fluid all over the engine bay.
