Does anyone have a detailed drawing or pictures showing the automatic transmission mounts.
I need to replace them but cannot seem to fing a drawing showing where they go and how the are installed.
Is there anything missi
ng from this attached picture?
Go to the Jaguar heritage site. All of the parts listings and pictures are available there. It is parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com
click on jaguar parts, and then in the drop down go to "older vehicle info" the daimler 250 is shown there.

Reason: more info
Take Jerry's advice. I'm going to try & help you with one hand tied behind my back. What you are looking for is in a Borg Warner publication produced for Jaguar. Never seen one. It is not in the Service Manuals. (I have an S Type MOD)
That is an old rear mounting before Jaguar standardised on this with only the spring differentiating between Manual, Manual OD & specific Auto transmission model. I presume in your case a BW Model 35 (aluminium casing).
Later standardised mounting.
This is basically your mount but for Manual & Manual OD. Basic differences. Your mounting has more mounting points to Chassis/floor and a 3 bolt plate at top to transmission IIRC.
As I say I hope you have your spring as they vary by rear mounting type & transmission configuration. Spring length & rate can cause fouling with the tunnel if incorrect.
Required rubber kit. Two spring cups. One rubber bush.
Good luck!

Please take a few pics. I'm interested to see what Jaguar did as they had some NVH issues fitting the Turner V8 to the Mk2 body. Some drumming/throbbing noise that they quickly solved.

I also took two pictures of a bracket a little further down from the transmission along the tailshaft.
Can anyone tell me what this is called and whether a rubber kit is available for this item.
It appears the Daimler had a centre carrier which the S Type does not but following a bit of research the rubber section is part number C19509 which was also used on the XJ6. Can be bought at SNG for £20.35. There are also two rubber grommets C10126 that go between the bolts and plate number 20 on the exploded view which are £0.46 each.
It might be advantageous for you to invest in a spare parts manual for the Daimler V8 such as this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Daimler-2...MAAOSwvltgcw-2 or https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-D...oAAOSwn5pgTPO5 on EBay. There is an on line version which is free at https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic...le-information When Glyn or myself show these exploded views they generally come from this source and we just cut and paste them on the to the topic.
When I first got my S Type my best mate bought me the S Type parts manual and it was the best source material I had. Finding part numbers for ordering bits, studying the exploded views when it came to reassembling parts I took apart 12 months earlier or someone else had taken apart before I bought the car. Really an invaluable tool to have when restoring your car.

Thanks for the pics. See Cass comments. I'm pleased you have the spring. I see you have the 2 bolt top mount. The 3 bolt I remember must be from the DG 250.
Your rubbers are toast. Clean up that spring nicely & repaint thoroughly or powder coat. Some corrosion has started on the spring which can lead to breakage.
Thanks for the help Cass.

Thank guys I really appreciate your help.
I have tried going to the https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/ website and when I go to the Daimler V8 section and select suspension I get the following message below about adobe flash player:To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.0 or greater is installed. Get Adobe Flash Player Or you can view the html version here
When I click on the html version I can only see one page (see below) and no diagrams. I have tried using different browsers but have the same problem.
I take my clips or snips off of my hard drive stored manuals. That's why I said I was working with one hand behind my back. I don't have that elusive BW for Jaguar publication. I get the same as you do when using Cass' (Rob's) link. Adobe Flash Player is no longer supported by them. They sent me a message to uninstall mid last year.
BTW ~ suggest you delete your duplicate picture post #11 above.

I know adobe is no longer supported so you click on the HTML version and you get the page with all the Jaguar models. Click on the model and use the drop link to choose "suspension" as you have. At the bottom of the page there should be a black line and on the right it should read 1 of 17 and four arrows in boxes. Fast back/one page back/ one page forward/ fast forward. This website was superb when you could view using Adobe as it had better search facilities and you could zoom in on each page. Now what I have to do is safe the page as a JPeg file then open it as a photo and use the zoom facility in photos to get a better look. Bit of a pain but then I have a parts catalogue for the S Type and only use this app when searching for items from another model or comparing part numbers between the S Type, 420, Mk2 and Daimler 250.
Glyn your question earlier about the vibration the V8 had was possibly solved by a two piece prop shaft with the centre bearing as the S Type with the same Borg warner 35 gearbox had a one piece shaft.

Thanks for help with HTML ~ I must be blind. Yes my parts manuals for the S Type are well paged. I kept one in Cape Town & gave another to my restorer in Johannesburg. We lived by the things. When parts shipments arrived from Barrats I sorted them all into different plastic bags by location used to make life easier for my guy. Barratts pickers are good about labeling things with P/Ns.
I was thinking the same thing about the NVH fix. I'll bet you are right!

After I typed that message I went there and looked myself to make sure. I must admit that it took me a minute to recognize the arrows too. Not sure why- other than old age.
I missed the arrows on the bottom page, thanks for pointing it out.
Although the quality of the pages are pretty bad and does not show any detail. I think I will have to buy a parts manual on Ebay.
Had a look but not sure how to delete pictures in post#11

Yes it was better in Adobe but what I do now on HTML is save the diagram page in to a file on my desk top and then open the page again but this time in photos so I can enlarge it and view it better. Same with the parts numbers page because in the original HTML page it is very difficult to read the parts number.
