Default Anti Brake-fluid paint.

Does anyone know of paint that resists brake fluid?

Just reco-d my brake master cylinder & power booster slave cylinder.

As you probably know, the rusty cast iron cylinders looks ghastly, esp after redoing one's engine bay (pics to follow).

I believe POR make such a product - would love to hear from anyone who has used it.

Thanks!

You can use silicone brake fluid DOT 5, but you have to have a completely redo brake system as it is not compatible with synthetic or regular fluid. Show cars use it for the paint reason. If you spill fluid have a container or a spray bottle of soap/water mix and clean the area immediately if done quickly, will keep area safe. Any good epoxy paint can help, but still needs cleaning after spills.

no help on the paint, but silicone brake fluid might be fine for parked
show vehicles, not so great for vehicles that are regularly driven.

Nothing wrong with DOT5, I have it in my 51 Bentley and it gets driven all the time.
It's in my clutch/slave cylinder on my Mazda B2200 and it gets driven daily.
No more hygroscopic properties to worry about and because of that it stays clean where the other crappy stuff starts absorbing water and gets dirty _ more maintenance.

I have the brakes on my 340 jag torn right apart for restoration and I will be using DOT5 _ the other stuff is ****.
