Been away from posting in the forum for too long. Been lurking, and making slow progress on my Mark II. She was a "runner" before, but had significant transmission issues. Parts are coming together for that, and I think it's time to start putting her back together.

Thank you Jon. Never stopped working on the Mark 2; only stopped posting. I wasn't making visible progress. Been procuring parts and figuring out how to make stuff, as well as working on the house.

I am working with a local shop British Motor Care and they have determined the root cause of my car's slowness. I have a DG-250 automatic transmission that has could not shift into 3rd gear. I have my car in their shop right now. To defray the cost of storage I'm asking them to do other items on my list. So far they have replaced the diff front seal, welded in a new floor pan in the pass. side and they are working on the steering column.

My car's interior is trashed so I am sewing new seat covers for now. I'll post some pics of the work when I get the car back.

I have also been removing the wood so I can get it re-veneered. Removing the dash piece that holds the tach and speedo was a bear to remove. I have replaced these pieces with plywood for the time being so I can remount the instruments.
