Default Engine swap?

Does anyone know if there any insurmountable problems to fitting a Daimler 250 V8 and auto box into an early Mk2 Jaguar shell?
Thanks

nothing in insurmountable

There are many here doing a variety of V8 engine swaps. What I would say is that you need to make sure you have the persistence in your mind set and make sure you are determined enough to keep putting in the time and money to deal with the minor issues that will come up then you will be pleased with the efforts... It is never going to be a simple drop in weekend ordeal but likely months or even a couple of years depending on your availability

Hopefully it shouldn't be too much of a chore. It's a Daimler V8250 engine out of a MK2 going into a Jaguar MK2 shell that oribinally had a straight six in there.

You might find that there is a difference between auto and manual boxes re the panels surrrounding it.
