Default First venture out after tuning.

First serious venture out with no teething troubles - 40km in ever increasing circles from home. Against all odds (and some disbelief from some), my tuning has kinda worked!! Runs like a sewing machine. Car is still very slow/leisurely off the mark (need to work out why) but at 20mph it starts to really go. My homemade kickdown micro switch mechanism works - plant foot at 40mph and it takes off like a cut snake with an exhaust note that would dishearten an AMG driver!!!! It is extremely fast - hang on to steering wheel (and pray) kinda experience. Dunno why take off us so slow (any hints?). Woohoo

Might be going lean on you. Have you topped up the dampers in the carbs with oil? If yes already, try a heavier oil and see what happens.

Count your gear changes. It is a 3 speed transmission. It might be pulling away in second in which case it will be leisurely and will require some linkage adjustments from the lever. You might be kicking down from top into second to get that burst of power.

Did I mention that that's a very presentable car you've got there?

Very nice indeed.
