Found an engine no computer
I found a low mileage AJ27 SC engine with Mercedes Trans for an unbelievable price. BUT no computer. I suppose I could find a computer and harness, but this would bring my S-Type to a whole new level of cost, complexity and time. I wanted a simple SBC and 5 speed manual. I just bought a Borg Warner T-5 out of an 88 F body T/A V-8 car.
I'd like an over the Top 4.0 SC car like the Beacham Mark II; who wouldn't? BUT....
If I had the entire donar car for the interior, gauges, computer, fuel pumps, etc. I'd be tempted to go that route.
But this is suppose to be a JagRod, cheap, easy, fun to do. Maybe if I didn't have a bunch of other cars and money was no object.

Steve,
For me I would not buy it as you might pay a pretty penny to get the right computer plus more and more time to find someone to custom program for this application. I would just get a modern GM LS V8 as there are so many performance places with custom computer harness and they will program for your exact needs (ie; tranny gearing, wheels, rear end gearing, etc.) then it is plug and play with no hassle. Also I would say more reliable.
