Green Paint Code: 1965 S-Type
Does anyone know what green was used in 1965 on the S-Type? I have seen Op. Green for the exterior. I have seen others quote British Racing Green; however, I have read that that color did not exist until 1967 with the XKE.
Then, there is the interior. Mine is green; however, what green. I have seen just green and Moss Green. I plan to send a request into Heritage, but thought some of you may already know. I have been unable to find anything definitive on the Internet.
Thanks!!!

Not sure but the S type Register should have the information you need. Check their website. The current Newsletter of the Register shows a green S type in Australia, sort of an Aqua or Teal green, certainly not the dark "British Racing Green".
Jose,
There is one green on the registry, but I don't know if that is the same car in the newsletter. I will try to compare them when I get my newsletter and do some more research.

Joe,
the picture below is the BRG (British Racing Green).
a lot depends on the market the car was originally shipped to;
Europe is one market, Canada is another market, Australia another, USA another, Latin America another, South Africa another, etc., etc. different markets, different colors.

Here is what I use for color schemes (Nigel Thorley :Original Jaguar Mk1/Mk2) and the documents I could find on Autocolor Library (Auto Color Library - The World's Largest Online Color-Chip Library). I think that the 1965 S and Mk2 probably used the same references.
I hope this helps a bit.
