Default Jaguar MK2 2.4 1967

Hi everyone, first time for me on here. I have been restoring my MK2 now for two years, have come across some make shift wiring from the overdrive (gear box end) into the overdrive leaver on steering. Could someone help me by telling me what colour are the wires from gear box to the overdrive switch, then form there where do they go?
Many thanks Pete
