Default MK2 Manual Trans. oil

Can I use Castrol C80-90 gear oil in my transmission instead of sae 90w which is not available, 1965 Jaguar MK2

The Mk2 manual I downloaded specifies 30 weight oil for the gearbox. The only mention of 90 is the diff and steering box.

Don't take my word for it though as I'm still new to Jags.

The older Jags with Moss/Laycock boxes used 30W.

Use Penrite Gb30 oil
