Default MK2 Tail Light Fasteners

Hello all,
I am looking for some help. When I purchased my car the tail lights were broken and were missing some parts. I realize now that some of the fasteners are apparently whitworth. The fasteners I am looking for are shown in the photos below. If anyone has any of these as spares, I would sure like to purchase them. I cannot find them as separate items from any of the usual vendors. Is anyone able to be of assistance?

Unfortunately, you are unlikely to find a US supplier as US fasteners used the Unified standards, (UNF and UNC), later used by British companies instead of Whitworth and BSF. I suspect your missing screws are BSF rather than the coarser Whitworth standard. However Jaguar may have been on UNC and UNF in 1960 so I suggest you measure up the screw diameter and pitch (threads per inch) and use a thread table to determine what they are.

You could also try this supplier

I got a little curios here and checked mine, it's just a standard 1/4 28 National Fine Thread (UNF). It's not BSF or Whitworth _ I checked and the only one that comes close to that, that is 28 threads per inch is a BSF 7/32.
(my 51 Bentley is all BSF/Whitworth and I know what I'm talking about)

Do a little Google search and you should find what you're looking for
Look for stainless steel _ don't go with just mild steel.

Difficult to find though.

There's this from the link above.

Namrick Limited U.N.F Stainless Socket Caps

Spaenaur has some in brass, but you have to make a minimum order of 20 or 25 bucks, the last time I checked and they're in Canada so I am not sure if the ship out of country.

You could take a standard hex head (1/4 28 in the correct length) find someone with a lathe to modify the head to fit. Minimum shop time can be expensive though.

Lots of selection, but I couldn't find one like the original, the closest was only 3/4 of an inch in length.

There was round head in steel _ 1 1/4 Philips.
The OP will just have to do some digging.

I found a 1/4" - 28 x 1 1/4" fillister head at Fastenal. It will work.
Thanks.
