started wiring the dash panel, placed a diode between the fog and head lamps to allow them to stay on in the fog position. I have a friend machining two bezels for the 4.5" GPS speedo and tach. A little $$ but so many functions.

right side getting finalized, left side easy. I have lowered the anti sway bar 2" and shimmed the steering box 3/8" to the outside. So far no harder to fit than a Camaro. The headers are 1 3/4" and the exhaust will be 2 1/2" run like factory.

the headers are back and installed and the hood back on after 8 months. The cold air was moved to make room for a/c and a mk10 style package tray unit. my mini starter was bad but a new one will be here Friday. Drive shaft is 47" c-c and I am working on that now. I am getting excited about building a fire in it!

wish I could get the offset I want in this wheel. My widened steel wheels will look good though and appear more stock. The three inch tailpipes, widened wheels, tinted windows and 6.3 grill badge should be just enough to hint at it's performance potential.

If you spend the money for a 3 piece wheel you can easily run a 17" x 8.5" or 8" and run 245 wide tires on all four corners. That is what I am running 17" x 8.5" with 245 40's on my 3.8s

I am more "old school" and don't care for the big wheel small tire look. I like the old big wheel narrow tire look from the 60-70's. The road wheel for the rear is 15x8 with 6" b/s, fronts are 15x6.5 with 4.5"b/s. I finally got my starter worked out and hope to start her up this week end. I have deal working on a Corvette and the normal home projects to worry with.

Speedhut GPS gauges arrived and I am happy! They are beautiful, I will have to modify my pre-wiring a little they come with a lot of wire. My adapter rings for the speedo and tach are done in stainless(gauges are 4.25 and Jaguar hole is 4.75)and will be painted black(maybe) to match the bezels.

Love the gauges, hints at a performance update/modern revamp of the car while still keeping everything beautiful about the interior of the old Jags

Blurooster,
What is your hood clearance between your carb stud/air intake adapter and your hood?
Thanks,

I will get you a measurement after work today
it is five inches from the air cleaner mounting surface to the rib in the center of the hood.

Dropped the gas tank to replace the plastic gas line. Tank was very dirty and was pitted. Off to the shop to get it boiled and then repair it. I haven't removed the sender yet, hoping for the best.

BluRooster,
Which vendor did you use for your steering wheel and boss?
