Welcome Sib! VERY inspiring! The photos (and photoshops) in this thread are making me weak! Your skills with ps are breathtaking. Will be great fun to follow your work on the car as it progresses. Absolutely awesome

PS: Build that MK V coupe next!

Looking forward to seeing this project move forward. I've always loved the lines of the Mk V. Will be very interested to see how the transplant comes out.

Good Luck!

So today, we took some engine measurements and found that dropping the 4.2 (from the XJ6 donor car) is going to be really tight. So, all things considered, we are going to do some minor (era sympathetic) body changes. We're going to extend the front engine compartment, move the cab back and turn it into a "Coupe". The roof will be slightly lowered by chopping, and the result I think will be nothing less than staggering! Here is my photo-shopped vision of the mods, with a new paint scheme I came up with. We found out that the XJ6 seats will be perfect in this car, as well as the suspension fitting without much modification.

All in all, I am VERY excited about the way this is coming together!
