Default 1986 Jaguar ******* Custom XJW

Good Morning All. New Member from New Jersey that just recently purchased a crazy looking Jaguar. Its a 1986 Jaguar XJ6 that was custom built by a fellow named Willie Wilson. To my knowledge and understanding from limited resources, he made 3 custom Jaguars in the XJ6 model: 2 in the "sports car" version and 1 limo. This car happens to be the "sports car" version that is basically a shortened XJ6 with an Oldsmobile V8 power plant. I've owned various classic, rare, and unusual cars with my father over the years. And, this is the new addition to our pack. For anyone interested, you can google "Ontario Jaguar Newsletter Feb 1999 - ******* Custom Jaguar", and there's a decent write up regarding these Jaguars. I've tried to reach several Jaguar clubs throughout the world about this Jaguar. I'll get pics and more specific vehicle info posted as soon as possible. In the meantime, if anyone is familiar with this car or has anything else to share: articles, stories, pics, etc, then please do so. - Bob

Hello, Bob,
That certainly sounds like an Unusual Xj6! Most of us would probably like to see a picture of it posted.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

These are a few pics of the car as it was recently bought and in its' current state. I took a few pics of the article from the Ontario Jaguars Newsletter, too. It's a PDF file about 18 pages long. So, I tried to post the pages that pertained to my car. The Jaguar is a XJ6; however, it's called an XJW after its builder "Willie". There are 2 emblems on the trunk "Jaguar XJW" and "Barone". I'll get post a vin number and other particulars at another time. For now, enjoy this Ugly Duckling!
