Default 1989 XJ-S V12 New Member Intro

Hi, new to the forum and looking forward to help reviving a 1989 XJS V12 (coupe). My in-laws purchased the car new from a local dealership in Vancouver, BC Canada. It was weekend and special occasion vehicle car and has accumulated only 34,000 Km (about 21,000 Miles). Always dealer serviced and maintained, mostly trouble free. My in-laws are now in their early '80s and the car hasn't been run or driven since 2004. It has been stored in an unheated garage, under a car cover and it's time for it to be made roadworthy again as it will be kept in the family. I will post more of the story and next steps in the appropriate forum.

Thanks for the welcome greetings. I plan to photo-document the revival process beginning with the pick up (via enclosed trailer) and will post updates on the (Classics) XJS forum (I have started a thread).

Thanks button...interesting feature, haven't seen that until now. I see you're in Langley, the XJS is located in Central Burnaby and my shop is in North Vancouver.

Default Welcome to Jaguar Forums

Welcome Lloyd (edmontvillage) ... and greetings from fellow enthusiasts in Australia.

The XJ-S will be an interesting and rewarding refurb. You will find plenty of resources, advice and shared friendship here ... from the forum's main menu, jump over to the model specific XJ-S section where there is plenty to read and absorb.

I also encourage you, as per Norri's posted links, to visit the regional section shared by other members in your area ... and add your car details to your signature as a permanent flag to enable other members to offer accurate advice ... from Main Menu, click <User CP> then <Edit Signature>.

All that remains is to dive into the forum ... and enjoy!

Best wishes,
Ken

A late 'Welcome' to Jaguar Forums from me edgemontvillage.

I've been away driving my Jaguar across Europe and had no internet access.
