Default 1989 XJ6 x40 Caught On fire ruined kickdown cable

About a week agor I started to cut out the remaining of the already rotted floorboard. Then I proceeded to trim out new floor pans and weld them in little did I know that there is a foam pad on top of the transmission which caught fire and melted my shifter cable and my kickdown cable how do I unhook the kickdown cable from inside the transmission?
