Welcome to the forum Pollie,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Provided it is the original radio, any Jaguar Dealer will be able to lookup the code. They usually only need the vehicle VIN but sometimes also the serial number off the back of the radio.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xjs-x27-32/ to the XJS forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Canada Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/canada-73/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

For many years the standard advice was to call the dealer.....and that's still your only choice, as far as I know.

Whether or not Jaguar is still maintaining an dealer-accessible data base with old radio codes is another matter.

If one dealer says "no", try one or two others....just to be sure. Sometimes a newer dealership and/or less experienced dealership staffers are not well-versed on stuff for the older models.

Cheers
DD
